Extended Grace Period
Effective immediately and until further notice, we will extend the Grace Period of one monthly or one annual premium payment for any policy owner who requests it. The Grace Period, as described in our individual life and critical illness policies, will be extended from 31 days to 60 days.
Policy owners wishing to request a Grace Period extension should call Empire Life Customer Service at 1-800-561-1268 to make the request.
For any policy owners requesting a Grace Period extension, both they and their advisor of record will receive written confirmation of the request.
Discontinuation of Paramedical visits during COVID-19
Effective March 30th, 2020 and until further notice, we will be discontinuing the use of third party paramedical service providers (Dynacare and Exam One) for in home visits to obtain Fluids, Vitals or Paramedicals. We will continue to utilize these companies for Personal Health Interviews via telephone (PHI) if that option is selected on applications and Empire Life will continue to order the PHI.
No Fluid / Non-Medical Limit Increase to $1,000,000
